The Baby Book does not require an account and does not send your baby’s profile, photos, care history, growth records, or health records to the developer.

Information you choose to record
You may enter a baby’s name, nickname, birth date, profile photo, sleep, feeding, pumping, diaper, growth, temperature, vaccine, medication, potty, and note information. You choose what to add and can edit or delete it at any time.
Local storage
App data is stored in The Baby Book’s private area on your device. The developer does not operate a server that receives this information. Automatic cloud backup is disabled.
Backups and phone transfer
Android may transfer app data directly during a supported phone-to-phone setup. You can also create a password-protected encrypted backup and choose where to save it. A file saved to Drive, another cloud provider, a computer, or external storage is handled by that destination and remains your responsibility. The app cannot recover a forgotten backup password.
Device features and permissions
Notifications are used for timers and reminders. Exact-alarm access is requested only for medication reminders that must occur at a chosen time. Biometric or device-lock authentication is used only when you enable App lock. When you choose Take photo, Android opens a camera app and returns the resulting image; The Baby Book does not request ongoing camera access.
Third parties and external links
The Baby Book contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. If you choose the voluntary Ko-fi support link, it opens outside the app. The Baby Book does not send your records to Ko-fi, but your browser and Ko-fi handle your visit under their own privacy terms.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
Information remains on the device until you delete individual records, use Erase all data, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Exported backup files are separate copies and must be deleted from their saved locations by you. You can decline optional permissions, although the related reminders or lock may not work.
Children’s privacy
The app is intended for parents and adult caregivers, not for use by children. It can store information about a child, but that information remains locally controlled as described above and is not knowingly collected online by the developer.
Security and health information
The app uses Android private storage, optional device authentication, encrypted manual backups, and limited permissions to protect information. No method of storage is completely risk-free, so keep your device, backup files, and passwords secure. The Baby Book is a personal record-keeping tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency services.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices change, this policy and its effective date will be updated before the changed practices are released. Material changes will also be communicated through the app or its store listing when appropriate.
